Patient Experience and Expectations
Once you arrive for your Potenza RF Microneedling treatment, you’ll remove any topical products, including makeup or lotion. You will then apply a numbing cream to the treatment area, which takes about 30 minutes to take effect. Then, your clinician will remove the cream and begin the treatment, which takes about 30-90 minutes to complete.
Does the treatment hurt? Most patients only feel mild to moderate discomfort that can best be described as a prickling sensation with increased heat.
After your Potenza RF Microneedling treatment, you will likely notice some redness and swelling. This typically resolves within a few days. You may feel mild discomfort depending on the area was treated, which typically resolves within couple weeks.
While you may see some initial results after four weeks, the more noticeable effects of the treatment appear over the course of three to six months as your skin goes through three different phases of collagen remodeling. Therefore it is recommended to get three to six treatments for the best possible results!
Before and After Care

Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
Apply sunscreen SPF 40+ daily, and wear barrier protection such as wide-brimmed hats, large sunglasses and protective clothing when outdoors.
Avoid aesthetic treatments that may cause irritation to your skin.
Avoid topical irritants — these potentially include harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs, retinols, and peels.
Stay hydrated— moisturize your skin with a gentle lotion and drink plenty of water.

Shave the area(s) we’re treating in the direction that the hair grows with a new, clean razor (if where we’re treating has dense, coarse hair).

Avoid direct heat and sweat, including steam rooms, saunas, and exercising.
Continue to avoid makeup on the treated area. -
Continue to avoid topical irritants — these potentially include harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs, oils, retinols, scented lotions and peels.
Avoid hot baths / showers, as well as swimming (in any temperature). Use gentle soap; pat skin dry with a clean, soft towel.
Avoid scrubbing, scratching or shaving.
Use moisture cream up to three times daily or as needed to help reduce irritation or itching.

Contraindications
Do not receive RF Microneedling treatment if you fulfill one of the following conditions:
Patients with a pacemaker.
Patients who have previously had a gold-thread skin-rejuvenation treatment.
Patients with keloid formation propensity.
Patients with skin infections.
